Personal Injury Attorney Ramzy Ladah

Suffer a leg injury after an accident in Las Vegas, NV? Contact the top Las Vegas leg injury lawyer to seek justice and compensation.

A broken femur, a shredded ACL, or a crushed ankle does not just end at the hospital discharge. It means multiple surgeries, hardware that may need to come back out, weeks on crutches, lost paychecks, and a body that never quite works the way it did before the crash or fall, while the at-fault party’s insurance carrier is already building a file designed to pay you a fraction of what those losses are actually worth.

Ladah Injury & Car Accident Lawyers Las Vegas was built to shut that strategy down. Our founder, Ramzy Ladah, learned the insurance industry’s tactics as one of its defense attorneys, and we now use that knowledge exclusively for injured people across Southern Nevada. Our personal injury attorneys specializing in leg injury claims prepare every file to be trial-ready from the first phone call, not built to be dumped at the first offer, so insurers take our demands seriously.

What Is a Leg Injury Claim?

A leg injury claim is a personal injury lawsuit seeking financial compensation when someone else’s carelessness, legally called “negligence”, damages any part of your leg, from the hip and femur down to the ankle and foot. To succeed, we must prove the at-fault party had a duty to act safely, that they violated that duty, and that the violation directly caused your injury.

Leg Injuries We Litigate

Leg injuries range from torn ligaments that respond to physical therapy to traumatic amputations that permanently reshape your life. Each type demands different medical proof and a different argument in front of a jury.

  • Femur fractures (broken thigh bone, often requiring surgical rods and months of recovery)
  • Tibia and fibula fractures (the two lower leg bones, commonly shattered in vehicle crashes)
  • ACL, MCL, and PCL tears (ligament damage inside the knee that frequently requires reconstructive surgery)
  • Meniscus tears (cartilage damage that leads to arthritis without proper treatment)
  • Patella fractures (kneecap breaks that impair your ability to stand, bend, or walk)
  • Compartment syndrome (dangerous internal pressure buildup that can permanently destroy muscle tissue)
  • Degloving injuries (skin and tissue forcibly separated from underlying bone)
  • Traumatic leg amputations

One pattern we consistently see in Las Vegas leg injury claims is an insurer offering a number based on the emergency room bill alone, before hardware removal or a second surgery has even been scheduled. What we see across these claims is that a treating surgeon’s written projection of future procedures is usually what moves that number into six or seven figures.

Where Leg Injuries Happen in Las Vegas

Las Vegas never stops moving, and its roads, hotel floors, and job sites create real daily risk. The accidents we see most often involve:

What to Do After a Leg Injury in Las Vegas

What you do in the first 72 hours directly shapes the value of your claim. These steps protect both your recovery and your legal rights.

Get Emergency Medical Care

Go to an emergency room right away, even if you believe the injury is manageable. Gaps in your treatment record are the number one argument insurance companies use to deny claims, do not give them that opening.

Document the Scene

Photograph the hazard or vehicle damage and your visible injuries before anything is moved or cleaned up. Keep a daily written journal recording your pain levels and how the injury limits your normal activities.

Preserve Evidence Before It Disappears

Hotel and casino surveillance footage is routinely deleted within 7 to 30 days, and a vehicle’s Event Data Recorder can be overwritten shortly after a crash. We send a legal preservation letter immediately to lock down evidence before it is gone.

Handle Insurers Carefully

Report the accident to the relevant carrier, but decline to give a recorded statement or sign any medical authorization they send over. Adjusters are trained to find inconsistencies that reduce your payout.

Who Is Legally Responsible for Your Injury?

The “liable party” is whoever the law holds accountable for your damages. More than one defendant can share that responsibility depending on how the accident happened:

  • At-fault drivers and, in commercial crashes, their employers
  • Casino and hotel operators who allowed dangerous conditions to go unaddressed
  • General contractors and subcontractors on construction sites
  • Manufacturers of defective vehicles, equipment, or consumer products
  • Government entities responsible for unsafe road design or maintenance

A tactic we see repeatedly from Las Vegas property managers and contractors is pointing to a workers’ compensation claim as proof that no further recovery is available. What we see across these claims is that identifying the separate third party, a subcontractor, vendor, or driver, who actually caused the injury is what opens the door to a full personal injury recovery on top of any workers’ comp benefits.

Does Partial Fault Reduce Your Recovery?

Nevada follows a “modified comparative negligence” rule under NRS 41.141, you can still recover compensation as long as you bear no more than 50% of the fault for the accident. Your total award is reduced only by your share of responsibility.

If a jury finds you partially at fault, your total recovery will be reduced in proportion to your share of responsibility. Insurers routinely try to inflate your share of the blame, and we push back hard with evidence.

“What insurance companies like to do is find a way, even if they’re at fault, to assign what’s called comparative fault, in order to pay less.” – Attorney Adrian Karimi

Compensation Available in a Nevada Leg Injury Case

Nevada law lets you recover for every financial loss and personal impact the injury has created:

  • Economic Damages: Current and future medical bills, surgery costs, physical therapy, prosthetics or orthotics, home modifications, lost wages, and any permanent reduction in your earning capacity.
  • Non-Economic Damages: Physical pain and suffering, permanent scarring or disfigurement, loss of mobility, and the loss of activities and enjoyment that defined your life before the accident.

There is no cap on economic damages in Nevada personal injury cases. We calculate every future cost, including surgeries years away, before any settlement offer is considered.

“You have to show the jury… how the injuries prevent them from working that job, and also what jobs they could still qualify for, and then compare those jobs… when it comes to income.” – Attorney Adrian Karimi

Evidence That Builds a Winning Claim

We prepare every file as if it is going to a jury, which is what forces insurers to make real offers. What we gather typically includes:

  • Police and incident reports
  • Surveillance video and dashcam footage
  • X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
  • Surgical records and treating physician narratives
  • Life-care planner reports projecting future medical needs and costs
  • Vocational expert testimony on your reduced earning capacity
  • Biomechanical accident reconstruction

“Ramzy was truly concerned from the first day that he saw our son. We felt he was going to be good for our son, the accident and the case. He always gave us good attention. He was always on top of anything we needed. He always gave us a hand and he never told us no. He always cared.” – Client, Las Vegas

How Long You Have to File in Nevada

The statute of limitations for most personal injury claims in Nevada is two years from the date of injury under NRS 11.190. Miss that deadline and you permanently forfeit your right to any compensation, regardless of how severe your injuries are. Claims against a government entity require a separate formal notice of claim under NRS 41.036, but that notice deadline is the same two years, not shorter, so do not wait.

How We Build Leverage Against Insurers

We know what the defense will argue before they say a word, because we trained on the same playbook. We understand how adjusters calculate reserves, which expert opinions carry weight in Nevada courts, and what it takes to move a case from a lowball offer to a full and fair recovery.

We file suit, conduct depositions, retain the best experts, and push every case toward trial. That commitment, and the verdict record behind it, is what converts inadequate offers into real ones.

“We prefer filing suit, because then we are in the driver’s seat… we can start finding out what the companies are doing or hiding.” – Attorney Adrian Karimi

How the Fee Arrangement Works

You pay nothing to hire us. We advance every litigation cost, expert fees, depositions, and court filings, and are paid only as a percentage of what we recover for you at the end of the case.

If we do not win, you owe us nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I Settle My Leg Injury Claim before My Treatment Is Complete?

No. Settling before reaching “maximum medical improvement” (MMI), the point at which your condition has stabilized, means future surgery costs, hardware removal, and ongoing therapy may be left out of your recovery entirely.

Can I Include the Cost of a Future Knee or Hip Replacement in My Claim?

Yes. We work with your treating physician and a life-care planner to project upcoming procedures and their costs, which are then included in the total damages we demand on your behalf.

Will a Pre-Existing Knee or Hip Condition Hurt My Claim?

No. Under Nevada’s “eggshell plaintiff” rule, the at-fault party is responsible for aggravating any condition you already had, they take you exactly as they find you.

Can Tourists Hurt in a Las Vegas Hotel File a Leg Injury Claim?

Yes. The case is filed in Nevada because that is where the accident occurred, and we manage everything remotely so you never have to travel for meetings.

Does MedPay or UM/UIM Coverage Apply to Leg Injury Claims?

Medical Payments coverage (MedPay) pays your immediate medical bills regardless of fault. Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage (UM/UIM) protects you when the at-fault driver carries no insurance or not enough to cover what you are owed.

Can I Sue a Third Party for a Leg Injury That Happened at Work?

Workers’ Compensation is typically your only remedy against your employer, but a separate personal injury lawsuit against a negligent third party, such as a subcontractor or a driver who struck your vehicle, is often available on top of your workers’ comp claim.

How Long Does a Leg Injury Case Take to Resolve in Las Vegas?

When liability is clear and the injury is well-documented, many cases resolve through settlement rather than trial. Claims involving major surgery, permanent disability, or disputed fault typically require litigation and take 12 to 24 months to reach an acceptable resolution.
